چکیده

This research studies the influence of using SiO2 nano-particles 50nm in a Vapor Compression Refrigeration System (VCRS), along with Poly-alkylene Glycol (PAG) oil and R-134a mixed to create nano-refrigerant. The methodology used this work, were performed three different concentrations (0.1%, 0.3%, 0.5%) 200ml PAG oil. A VCR system was built at mechanical engineering department laboratory Al-Qadisiyah University. In order study Coefficient Performance (COP) consumed energy by compressor two cases adding pure refrigerant. paper showed an increase system's COP from 2.3 2.81 when concentration 0.5% SiO2/PAG oil/R-134a, increasing refrigeration effect decreasing power.

Cost-Effective COP Enhancement of a Domestic Air Cooled Refrigerator using R-134a Refrigerant

This paper presents a cost-effective method to increase the COP and utility of a domestic refrigerator using R-134a refrigerant. A cabin was installed on the top of a domestic refrigerator with condenser coils of refrigerator serving as heating coils inside the cabin. Known quantity of water was heated by the condenser coils (due to convection currents) thereby increasing the overall COP of the...

Evaluation of HFO-1234yf as a Potential Replacement for R-134a in Refrigeration Applications

In response to concerns about the contribution of fluorocarbon refrigerants to global climate change, a new, more environmentally sustainable, refrigerant molecule has been developed and is being evaluated. This new molecule is the hydrofluoroolefin 2,3,3,3,-tetrafluoroprop-1-ene, or HFO-1234yf. The molecule has been shown to be stable inside refrigeration equipment, but to quickly decompose if...
